Mark Anderson
My software career started in professional motor sports, working initially for Jackie Stewart in British Formula 3 before graduating to Formula 1, then migrating to USA to work in IndyCar. An incredibly innovative, demanding and also fun time, working on software display, communications and control systems for Formula 1 teams including Jordan, Arrows, Tyrell, Stewart F1 and Williams.
I then moved into mobile telecoms with Nokia, before finding a home founding and building start-ups in the software sector. I have extensive experience developing both in ‘traditional’ languages like C and C++, and also the newer OO languages commonly used today including Java, Python, the Microsoft .NET framework, etc.
Experienced in all aspects of the software life cycle, using Agile methodologies and the Atlassian toolchain (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket), and GitHub. I have also developed extensively using cross platform development tools, including Virtual Machines, Docket containers, and cross compilers on native machines for deployment targets.
The Software Projects page has more information on many of the projects I have worked on more recently, and a full resume can be downloaded below.
